Genesis Sport & Aquatics are proud to announce that we are a recipient of a Move It AUS Community Swimming Grant provided by the Australian Government and Swimming Australia!
What is the grant for?
We are using the grant to increase physical activity and reduce barriers to participation for people with disabilities.
As one of the few swim schools in the state to be awarded the grant, we can now provide access to swimming lessons for children who identify as having a disability. We are offering PRIVATE, ONE ON ONE Learn To Swim lessons for any child who identifies as having a disability. As a result of the grant, the price is just $16 per lesson with at least 20 spaces available.
Throughout the thirty-minute lesson, highly qualified and specifically trained staff work with the student to provide one on one swimming instruction that is tailored to the needs of the individual.
How is the grant going to help our local community?
We’re excited to offer these lessons to children who may not have had the opportunity to undertake learn to swim lessons previously. Our swim instructors at Genesis Sport & Aquatics believe that swimming and playing safely in the water are pastimes that ALL children should be able to enjoy and love seeing the confidence of students grow every lesson.
We would like to thank the Australian Government and Swimming Australia for giving us the opportunity to facilitate such an important program! You can read more about the Swimming Australia Community Swimming Grants Program below.
How do I find out more about being part of the program?
To find out more about enrolling in the program, please contact us at Genesis Sport & Aquatics via email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 3882 9091 where we look forward to being able to help you out!
About the Swimming Australia Community Swimming Grants Program
The Australian Government is investing $28.9M over four years to get the least active Australians active through the Move It AUS – Participation Grants Program.
Swimming Australia (SA) received funding under the Move It AUS – Participation Grants Program. As part of this, SA has provided grants up to $10,000 to support community level swimming and aquatics programs that aim to increase physical activity and reduce barriers to access in swimming and aquatics for people with disability and those from culturally and linguistically diverse communities across Australia.
